You will provide expert advice on products such as life insurance, critical illness cover, income protection, and family income benefit.
You will manage the full advisory process, from initial client consultation to recommending suitable policies and ensuring successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice to clients on protection products, including life insurance, critical illness cover, income protection, and relevant policies.
- Conduct thorough fact-finding to assess clients' needs, financial situations, and objectives.
- Recommend suitable and compliant protection solutions tailored to each client.
- Proactively manage client relationships, ensuring a positive experience and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with insurers to ensure seamless application processes.
- Build a strong relationship with the mortgage advisers to maximise sales opportunities and ensure a seamless referral process.
- Keep up to date with the latest protection products, regulatory changes, and market trends.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain accurate client records using the company’s CRM system and ensure full compliance with FCA regulations.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Protection Advisor, Financial Advisor, or similar role in the insurance/protection industry.
- Ideally the candidate will have whole of market experience.
- A strong understanding of protection products, including life insurance, critical illness cover, and income protection.
- Experience with business protection or he willingness to learn and provide these products to our large bank of limited company owners.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and explain complex products in an accessible manner.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a results-driven mindset.
- Knowledge of FCA regulations and a commitment to working compliantly.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and MS Office applications.
- Relevant qualifications including achieving ‘Competent Advisor Status’.
